Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced an "Education Emergency" across Pakistan to enroll approximately 26 million children who are currently out of school, aiming to transform Pakistan into one of the most educated countries in the world. The Prime Minister emphasized his commitment to addressing this critical challenge during a National Conference on Education Emergency held in Islamabad.

MINISTRY OF FEDERAL EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

This presentation outlines key reforms focused on 21st-century skills, including high-impact courses at top universities and coding/AI integration in schools. Curriculum updates introduce financial literacy and entrepreneurship, while AI-driven assessments replace traditional exams. Infrastructure upgrades, fast-track teacher recruitment, digitalized training, and improved student health and nutrition underscore the comprehensive approach to enhancing education nationwide.

Renovation Work of 167 Educational Institutions and 5 Area Education offices

This government-funded project, set to complete by June 30, 2025, aims to renovate 167 educational institutions across rural and urban areas of ICT. The project focuses on upgrading 107 rural and 60 urban schools, benefiting both primary schools and colleges. Key improvements include constructing 519 new classrooms, enhancing facilities with vibrant designs, IT labs, libraries, and upgraded infrastructure. Special attention is given to girls’ and boys’ institutes, ensuring modern, safe, and well-equipped learning environments.

HIGH-TECH COURSES IN 16 DEGREE COLLEGES AND 5 IT LABS

The Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training has undertaken a comprehensive initiative to elevate the technological capabilities of 16 degree colleges by renovating and retrofitting them with the latest IT infrastructure. In addition, 5 brand-new IT labs have been constructed to support this modernization effort. These state-of-the-art facilities now host advanced courses in High-Tech fields such as Blockchain, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence. This initiative is designed to impart cutting-edge skills to Pakistan's youth, preparing them for success in a technology-driven future and contributing to the nation's development in the global digital economy.

OF PUNJAB

The Government of Punjab’s education reforms focus on several key areas: The School Meal Program provides nutritious meals to combat child stunting, boosting enrollment and health. Smart Schools and enhanced STEAM, Entrepreneurship, and Computer Education are modernizing learning. Pink Buses offer safe transport for female students and working women. The Data Science, AI, and Blockchain Certification Course prepares students for advanced tech careers. The Summer Fiesta! program includes career counseling, game development, IT boot camps, fitness activities, and mental health support, fostering comprehensive student development.

The Prime Minister’s Education Initiatives focus on transforming Pakistan’s education system through comprehensive projects, including rebuilding schools and infrastructure in flood-affected areas, reducing out-of-school children, enhancing school meals, and providing advanced STEAM education. The initiatives also involve renovating public schools, offering scholarships, and implementing digital and hygiene improvements, all aimed at creating a more inclusive, modern, and effective educational environment across the nation.

SPECIAL INITIATIVES by mOFEPT

The Ministry has launched initiatives including the School Meal Program, solarization, and rebuilding of flood-affected schools. Key projects involve Smart Schools with advanced tech courses, Financial Literacy, and schools' beautification. Efforts also include Makerspaces, blended learning hubs, and skill development for 650,000 youth. Distance learning is enhanced through the Teleschool Pakistan App and E-Taleem portal. Additional programs support mobile schools, teacher training, and inclusive curriculum development.

GIRLS' EDUCATION IN PAKISTAN
STATISTICS & TRENDS FOR 2022-23

This research explores key aspects of girls' education in Pakistan for 2022-23, highlighting the ongoing need for gender parity in access. It examines the gradual rise in enrollments, institutional growth, and the increasing participation of girls in STEM fields. Additionally, the study addresses the representation of female educators and regional disparities affecting educational outcomes.

This comprehensive program focuses on transforming education through key initiatives such as the School Meal Program, upgrading 16 colleges into digital training institutes, and establishing STEAM, AI, and robotics labs. Additional efforts include the renovation of 167 schools, the launch of the Free Pink Bus initiative, and the creation of 5 Software Technology Parks. Other highlights include the introduction of coding and AI fellows in primary schools, foreign language courses, evening school programs, and the establishment of art, podcast, and mind sports rooms.
